Bottom Line Up Front:

You got 15 minutes to spare? Do you like melodic metal? Then give it a listen, you won't be disappointed. Cryoshpere's Rebirth EP is due to release on 27 September 2019, and is not one you will want to miss.

Decided to stick around for the full review? Cool! I got some great things to say about these guys! Cryosphere is new on the scene as of 2016, after a few changes in band members they're fully formed as of just this year (2019). From the polished sound of their first EP, Rebirth, you can tell these musicians are far from amateurs. I can't wait to hear more from this group, and I would love to see them perform live.

Hailing from Denmark, Cryoshpere's melodic metal stylings fondly remind me of other bands from the cold North Atlantic such as Eluvetie, and Sonic Syndicate. Their music evokes the image of a snowfallen winter landscape, blasted by cold bitter wind; with a red rose in bloom, defiant in the face of annihilation.

The high melodies of lead singer Sirene, contrasted with the low gutteral growls of Anders Elleskov, provide a beautiful dichotomy of sound. All painted upon a backdrop of righteously heavy metalcore drums and guitar provided by Christopher Baklid (drums), Asger Markussen (bass guitar), Glen Petersen-Jessen (rhythm guitar), and Emil Tronborg (lead guitar).

The entire ensemble put forth a masterclass show of skill and talent in this brief, but beautifully crafted 4 track EP. Rebirth sets a fantastic benchmark for future releases from this new band, and is set to release on 27 September 2019; mark your calendars, you don't want to miss this.
